My world stopped as she began talking a mile a minute.

“I’m, like, five weeks along. And it’s yours. I had no idea my birth control failed. I’m on the shot, and there just wasn’t… there wasn’t any way to know. I didn’t want you getting upset. Or thinking I was trying to trap you. I don’t want your money or anything like that. I just want to move away and try to start again. I know we don’t have a future, and I didn’t want to make you think—”

I brought her lips to mine, stopping her with a kiss. A baby. Sarah was pregnant… with my baby.

“You’re such an idiot,” I whispered.

I nuzzled my nose against hers.

  “What?” Sarah asked.

I snickered. “We have a bright future together, Sarah. At Sharpe Ads. Together. Raising this child you’re carrying. It’s brighter than you could ever imagine, if you’d just use those lips to talk to me.”

She snickered as I pulled back, gazing into her watery eyes.

“You want this child?” she asked.

I kissed her lips again, cloaking her back with my arms.

“I want it, and you, and us,” I murmured.

  Chapter 14

  Sarah

His lips kissed down my neck as we fell to my mattress. His hands slid down my curves as my legs parted for him. His voice murmured against my skin, promises that swirled my mind.

“You’re mine. Do you hear me?”

“You’re coming back to work. Until you don’t want to.”

  “I love you already.”

He whispered that phrase against my stomach. He kissed my belly, the area of my body that would grow with the combination of us. Tears rushed my eyes as I clung to his thick, rich, dark hair. I rolled against him as his tongue lapped up my slit, flicked my clit, filled my channel and rocked me to my core. My back arched for him. My eyes rolled back for him. My toes curled into his back as he fisted my ass, bringing me closer to him.

He feasted on me until I begged him to stop, unable to take any more of his assault.

Ethan slid into me and rocked against my body. He threaded our fingers together, pinning my hands above my head. Our lips collided. His offering filled me to the brim. My walls massaged him and gripped him, drenching him and locking him against me as our bodies undulated together. I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t believe what was happening. Did he really mean what he said?

Did he really want me and this child?

  “Ethan. Yes.”

  “Sarah. Holy shit.”

  “Ethan, I’m so close.”

“Come with me, Sarah. Do it.”

  “Harder. Harder. Yes. Like that!”

  “Sarah. Shit! Fuck!”

Our worlds collided. Our lips crashed together. I moaned down his throat as he tangled his fingers in my hair, bringing my body to his. I felt him pour into me before my body pushed our juices out. I locked my legs around him. My arms around him. I dug my nails into his back as his muscles throbbed for me.

  Cried out for me.

  Shivered against me.

We collapsed to my bed, a pile of tangled limbs and flushed skin as I kissed every part of him my lips could reach.

“I love you, Sarah,” he murmured.

My brow furrowed as I turned my eyes to face him. He pulled out from between my legs and collapsed, pulling me into his embrace. My leg slipped between his thighs. His eyes held mine as he tucked a wild curl behind my ear.

  “You what?” I asked.

Ethan grinned. “I never wanted to let you go in the first place. Since the moment I first saw you in that coffee shop, I knew I’d do anything to have you. First, at my company. Then, in my company. And now, always with me.”

“You… love me?” I asked breathlessly.

“With everything I am,” he said.

Tears of happiness rushed my eyes as he smiled.

“I promise to love you and take care of you. To provide anything you and our child will ever need. You’ll work alongside me at Sharpe Ads, and together, we’ll build the most formidable advertising company in the world.”

I laughed breathlessly as I cupped his cheek.

“We’ll build the best family in the world,” he murmured.

I slid my thumb across his lower lip as a tear worked its way down my cheek.

“I love you so much, Ethan,” I whispered.

He leaned over, kissing my lips softly as his hold on me tightened.

“I love you too, Sarah. More than you’ll ever know,” he said.

“There’s just one problem,” I said.

“Whatever it is, we can solve it. Lay it on me.”

“I kind of already gave my notice to my landlord. He’s expecting me out at the end of the week.”

  Ethan chuckled, shaking his head.

“Oh, Sarah. You’re moving into the penthouse. Do you really think I’m going to let the mother of my child live separately from me?”

I grinned. “I mean, I didn’t want to assume anything.”

  He grunted. “Come here, beautiful.”

He rolled me on top of him, kissing me as I giggled.

“Once I’m done with you, we’ll start taking your stuff to my place,” Ethan said.

“Once you’re done with me, huh?” I asked coyly.

His eyes darkened and I felt my nipples pebble against his rippling chest.

“Yes, my love. Once I’m done with you,” he said.

Then, his lips crashed against mine and he rose up, walking until my back was pressed into my bedroom wall.
