“If that’s how long it takes me to get out of these clothes, then yes,” I said.

The three of us laughed as I slipped away from the table again. Amber was right. I probably needed to see a doctor for my bladder issues. But I didn’t want to pay attention to that right now. I excused myself from the table and made my way to the bathroom, thankful that no one was in there to listen to me struggle with my clothes.

And on my way out, I bumped into someone familiar.

  “Well hello there, Beautiful Jenny.”

I smirked. “Are you stalking me?”

“Depends. Do you like stalkers?” Nathan asked.

  “Not one bit.”

  “Then, no. I’m not.”

“What do you want?” I asked.

“I want to know if you have plans this evening.”

“I do, yes. I’m keeping quiet in solidarity, since you’ve decided to spend our time here spying on my best friend.”

“You mean my sister,” he said, grinning.

  “I do, yes.”

“She’s my sister. I have a right to make sure she’s safe.”

I shrugged. “And I have a right to spend my evening in a hot tub instead of with the brother spying on my best friend.”

I could have sworn I saw a look of hunger pass over Nathan’s beautiful hazel eyes. He had been right. If I didn’t have a massive thing for a strong pair of arms, his eyes would’ve been his selling point.

His eyes did another slow sweep of my body, and I felt myself blush. I loved it when a man looked at me with hunger in his eyes. I hated those men that tried to seem so aloof, like I didn’t affect them in any way. I wanted to know I had an effect on him, and Nathan wasn’t shy in showing me his cards.

“There room for four in that hot tub?” he asked.

I giggled. “I won’t be caught cavorting with the enemy.”

“Then, you obviously have no idea how fun cavorting with the enemy can be.”

I smiled as he leaned against the wall. He folded his arms over his chest, accenting the strength of his arms. I felt my knees weaken. I liked the fact that he could keep up with my jokes, even though I knew I had to turn him down. He was off-limits, especially with this spy shit he was pulling on Sara.

And even if he wasn’t her brother, I didn’t have time for distractions.

Though he was a handsome one.

“If you’ll excuse me, I have a vacation to get back to,” I said.

I side-stepped him, but his hand reached out for me. He grabbed my arm and pulled me back into him, my body whipping around to meet his. My chest fell against his. I felt the strength of his fingers curl around my own muscles. His breath was hot on my lips as I gazed into his eyes, watching them darken to black pools of lust.

“I watched the way you tubed on that slope today, with the grace of an angel. I’d really like the chance to find out if your body is as heavenly as it seems against the white of the snow.”

I felt my breath catch in my throat. Normally, I’d blow off any guy after a line like that. But holy fuck, the intensity in his eyes and the strength of his grip was too much for me to bear.

Girls’ weekend, Jenny. You’re on a damn girls’ trip. No guys. No boys. No players.

But what was the harm in flirting? I mean, I didn’t plan on anything becoming of it. Not with my best friend’s brother.

“And if my slopes are too much for you to handle?” I asked softly.

My eyes flickered down to his lips and I watched his tongue lick them.

“The Devil does his best work when looking at something from every angle necessary,” Nathan said.

He leaned in to my ear, and my eyes fluttered closed. He whispered his room number to me, then released my arm. Fuck. I wanted his touch back. As he stepped away from my body, I felt myself having to catch my breath.

“Not going to happen,” I said as my eyes snapped back to his.

He smirked. “Even the Devil believes in miracles.”

Then, he wrapped his arms around my waist and whirled me around.

  “Oh my go—!”

His lips crashed down onto mine, pinning me to the hallway wall. His tongue slid between my parted lips, and I tasted the sweetness of his taunt. I moaned an effortless sound that flexed his arms against my back. I melted into his embrace, fisting his shirt with my hands and pulling him closer. Fire shot through my gut. I lapped my tongue along the roof of his mouth, feeling a growl percolate up his throat.

Then, all too soon, he stepped back, breaking our connection as my hands fell away from his shirt.

“See you soon,” Nathan said, smiling.

And as the world tilted around me, Nathan disappeared, leaving me alone and confused. And aroused.

Holy shit, that was one hell of a kiss.

  Chapter 5

  Nathan

I tossed and turned in bed. I kept shifting the sheets and rolling over onto my fucking erection. As my eyes opened and looked at the clock, I saw it was only eleven o’clock at night. Damn it. Thoughts of Jenny wouldn’t even let me sleep. And every time I closed my eyes, I felt her lips against mine and her toned arms against the palm of my hands.

That woman had a strength underneath those clothes that kept my mind spinning.

I didn’t want to admit it, but she plagued me all evening. Haunted me, like a nightmare I wanted to experience full force. And I didn’t like it. Sure, I enjoyed the ladies. But I never obsessed over them. Behind every woman that didn’t want a night with me were four that did, so I never fretted over those that turned me down. There was something different about Jenny, though. Something that stuck me with.

I rolled over and groaned as my cock stuck straight up in the air.

I slapped my arm across my eyes. I’d almost made a damn fool of myself, asking her up to my room like that. Just whispered my damn room number like I was some desperate fool wanting to get laid. But those lips of hers. Fucking hell, they were pillows of delight I fell right into. I fell right into her damn trap, and now I couldn’t get my damn cock to settle down.

I leaned up and walked into the bathroom to run some cold water. I splashed it all over me. I practically dumped it on my cock until it settled down. I looked at myself in the mirror as I dried myself off, taking great care with my swollen balls as they hung heavy with need.

“I need to get out of this room,” I murmured.

It wasn’t as if Jenny was taking me up on my offer anyway.

I slipped on some clothes and headed down to the lodge lounge. I bellied up to the bar and ordered a beer, then swiveled around in my chair. I felt the cool glass touch down into my hand as I scoped out the crowd, taking in the women that dripped with fine gems and the men that wore tailored polos and khakis on their family vacations to flaunt their wealth.

“The perfect crowd,” I said, grinning.

In places like this, I usually looked for likely nightly prospects. But as hot as some of these men’s daughters were, none of them held a candle to Jenny. Some were too skinny. Some had hair that was too short. Or too thin. Or eyes that didn’t sparkle like hers did. Some had curves that moved too much for my taste or legs that were suddenly not thick enough for me.

What the hell has this girl done to me?

I chugged my beer down and placed it on top of the bar. I didn’t even know why I was considering seducing my sister’s friend in the first damn place. The girl was barely twenty-one. Still in college. And I was a grown-ass man! Twenty-eight years old! The general manager of a lodge! Granted, I still wasn’t applying myself much. Luke definitely picked up the slack when I dropped it. But for fuck’s sake, I was providing for myself and she was still digging herself into student loans.

We were from different worlds. And despite the steady income I had, Jenny deserved better than me. I needed to leave her alone, and not simply for my sister’s sake.

  But for mine, too.

“Ready for another?” the bartender asked.

  I looked down at th
e empty beer bottle before shaking my head.

“Nope. I’m good. Here,” I said.

I pulled out my wallet and slapped my card down onto the table before putting a ten-dollar bill in the man’s tip jar.

“I’ll be back. Thanks,” he said.

“Keep up the good work. You’ve always done well here,” I said.

After settling my tab, I headed back to the elevator. The ache in my pelvis followed me wherever I went, but I tried to block it out of my mind. The alcohol settled the anxious energy in my bones, and it was time to get some sleep. Some real, true sleep. I pressed the button for the elevator and summoned it, dragging my ass into the encasement. I didn’t even bother turning around. I closed my eyes as the elevator took me up to my level, and I sighed when the doors opened.

  “Oh, my gosh.”

I heard the whisper emanate behind me and I whipped around. And when I gazed into those dazzling blue eyes, my heart stopped in my chest. Jenny’s eyes widened as her thick hair fluttered down her back, and I watched as a blush covered her cheeks.

A slow smile trickled across my cheeks as I stepped out of the elevator.

“Well, hello, Beautiful Jenny,” I said.

She backed up, her eyes dancing between mine as we stood in the hallway together. The elevator door closed and went off to fetch its next customer, leaving the two of us alone.

  Nearing midnight.

“I, uh.. I was just… just taking a walk. You know, looking around—around the lodge. Got curious,” Jenny said.

  No, not said. Stammered.

She looked away from me, and I studied her face. The flush that crept from her cheeks to her neck. The way she tumbled over her words, a stark difference from her earlier confidence and quick banter. I furrowed my brow as my eyes danced around her face. And when her eyes came back to meet mine, it hit me.

Jenny had showed up at my room.

Whatever resolve I had was gone. Whatever good intentions I might have talked myself into, they were dead. I took Jenny’s hand within mine and pulled her down the hallway toward my hotel room door. I pulled my key card out of my pocket and swiped it over the pad, watching the light turn green before I shoved my shoulder into the door.

And when I whipped her into my darkened hotel room, I didn’t feel her fight me once.

  Chapter 6

  Jenny

I heard the door shut behind me as I stumbled into Nathan’s hotel room. For the millionth time, I wondered what I was doing. I wondered it as I snuck out of the house. As I walked up to the lodge. As I got into the elevator and even as I knocked on Nathan’s door the first time. And now, as I stood there readying myself on my own two feet, I wondered what I was doing there.

Since he had whispered his room number into my ear, I couldn’t get the sound out of it. The low rumble of his breath. The feel of his heat against my skin. The champagne in the hot tub had gone right to my head. At least, that was what I told myself. But I felt strong. I felt like I was in control of things. And as I turned around, I gazed into Nathan’s darkened stare as he stood between me and the doorway.

I hadn’t been able to get him out of my mind. I had an itch I wanted to scratch, and I knew he wouldn’t leave my mind until I had scratched it.

Nathan straightened his body, and I rolled my shoulders back. I felt like I was staring down the barrel of a ten-gauge shotgun. He was ready to pop off, and I was ready to be his target. And maybe, just maybe, I’d be able to work him out of my mind. I should have known our harmless flirtation had been anything but. I should have known when his kiss lingered against my lips that I was in trouble.

I should have known that the tingle erupting up my spine whenever he looked at me should have been my foreshadowing of trouble.

  “Beautiful, sexy Jenny,” Nathan murmured.

My heart leapt against my chest. As he walked toward me, I felt my body root itself to the floor. And no part of me screamed to run. No part of me talked myself out of it. In fact, when I knocked on his door the first time, I had been disappointed in the fact that he hadn’t answered. I had been fueled by liquid courage to leave the house, but it was my salacious want for him that took me all the way into the lodge.

I licked my lips as he stood toe-to-toe with me.

He’d been there in the elevator, like a breathless miracle, and before I could come up with a good reason for being there, I was in his grasp again. He had no issues taking what he wanted. He had no issues putting himself out there. I enjoyed that in a man.

A man who took what he knew we both wanted.

His confidence alone showered me in fire. But when he slipped his hand down into mine, I felt my gut clench. He pulled me toward him. My body pressed against his. I felt his chest swell with every breath he took before exhaling and gracing me with the warmth of his breath. There was the slightest hint of beer on his tongue. Just like I knew there was champagne on mine.

I closed my eyes as his hand slid up my arm. Over my shoulder. Up my neck to cup my cheek as my eyes fluttered closed.

“You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen,” Nathan said.

My eyes whipped open, and my mind fell blank. There was a softness in his voice that didn’t fit the man I’d encountered today. My lips parted as I frantically searched for a witty comeback. A playful bit of banter to break the tension between us. Because what I felt with him was so much more than a simple hookup.

I’d never felt this way, standing in the presence of a man.

His thumb traced my lower lip. I puckered my lips and kissed his skin as it brushed on by. He took one last step toward me. I felt his leg press between mine as he hovered over my form. My five foot six didn’t hold a candle to his six foot one, and I nuzzled into the palm of his hand to seek out more of his tenderness.

  More of his touch.

  More of his comfort.

I pressed a kiss into the palm of his hand. I ran on instinct, needing more of the taste of his body against my lips. I wrapped my hand around his arm and kissed up its length. I moaned at the way his muscles flexed against my lips, weakening my knees. I kissed up his bicep and up to his shoulder. I kissed his pulse point softly and traced his jawline with my lips. I hovered over his mouth, standing on my tiptoes as his free arm wrapped tightly around my waist.

And when I dared to press my lips against his, a firestorm ignited.

  “Fuck,” he growled.

His arms cloaked my back, surrounding me in a lustful swirl of muscle and grit. I wrapped my arms around any part of him I could find, digging my fingertips into his clothed skin. Our teeth clattered together. Our tongues did battle. He raked his tongue along the roof of my mouth and I traced the outline of his cheeks. I gasped for air. I breathed what he allowed me to have of him as we stumbled back to his bed. The backs of my legs knocked against the mattress and tumbled me to it, bouncing him on top of me.

I grabbed his shirt and ripped it over his head before our mouths fell back together.

I rolled him over and slipped my shirt over my head. Unclasping my bra, I slide it down my arms. Tossing it off to the side, I fell back down to his face, capturing his beer-tainted lips that growled and grunted with every inch of skin I allowed him. My tits dangled against his chest. His hands cupped them, tugging at my nipples. As he rolled me back over, he forced my legs open while his lips rushed down my body. I surrendered to the experience and to my best friend’s brother. I yielded to the pleasure I knew he’d wash over my body and the thoughts that had plagued me since the cafe. I’d let him do anything. Everything. All that he was willing to do.

And as his teeth nibbled at the dip of my waist, I felt him pop the button of my jeans open.

  Chapter 7

  Nathan

The touch of her skin ignited something in the pit of my gut. Her smooth skin drifted across my chest, leaving me with a wanton desire to devour her. I slid her pants down her legs, groaning when I saw her lack of panties. Her smell slapped me across the face. It drove me to press
her legs open. I kissed the dimples she had on the insides of her thighs, licking them and marking them with my teeth.

  “Nathan,” she moaned.

My goal was to render her speechless.

My tongue dove between her pussy lips, and euphoria rocked my mind. I swallowed every drop her down as her hands fisted my hair. My hands pressed against her knees. I spread her as wide as she’d go for me. I bent her knees back to her chest, feeling her clit pulse against my tongue. Every time she rolled her hips, the revelation of her dawned on my mind. She was a beauty. A demon of desire wrapped in the paper of an angel.

I flicked her clit with my tongue until her juices poured down my chin. Then, I stood up and slipped out of my own pants.

  “Come here,” I grunted.

I stood at the edge of the bed and pulled at her legs. Her ass cheeks hung off the side as her hands fisted the sheets. Her body flushed itself with a beautiful red tint that made my cock throb. I grabbed it and painted my way to her entrance, feeling her heat encompass my girth. She panted for me. Her swollen walls accepted me as I inched my way into her body. My knees quaked as her tightness wrapped around me, pulling me deeper into her body as her pussy grew tighter around me.

  “Holy… fuck,” I said.

She wrapped her thick legs around me and pulled my pelvis against hers. I had to take a second and draw some deep breaths. I had to pull my mind away from how soaking wet her pussy was. Her juices dripped down my balls, coating me as her walls pulsed around me. I felt the beating of her heart in the pit of her gut as my dick sat there, begging to move.

Then, I gripped all I could of the outside of her thighs.

“Nathan, fuck. Fill me up, yes.”

“Jenny. Holy hell, you are—this is—you—”

Apparently, I was the one that would be speechless tonight.

Skin slapping skin sounded in my room. Her arousal evident with every thrust I took. Her thighs jiggled and her tits bounced as she tugged at her nipples. Her brunette hair splayed across my bed. My toes curled into the carpet of my hotel room as my cock grew to painful thicknesses. I gritted my teeth. With every sound of my name that fell from her lips, I grew more fervent in my movements.
